RAD 6 and MySQL

I’ve been spending time with the IBM Rational Application Developer 6 (IRAD 6) which is the next iteration of Websphere Studio Application Developer 5. There are some neat things. The support for UML is better than WSAD 5.1.2 for example. JSF support is about the same though with no easy way to modify the palette. How to add MyFaces components for example? How to mark which items on the palette are the IBM components if you are deploying to Tomcat where you will not be using them (or paying a license fee to use them)?

As far as I can tell I cannot use MySQL in the Data Perspective. In WSAD you could add providers that weren’t hard coded. I’ve wasted a bit of time trying to find out if i could. Yes I know I can use Clodscrape/Derby or DB2 etc. but when my client is using MySQL it’s a bit of a pain.

Anyone know how to add MySQL?
